“On the occasion of the adaptation of Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons by the United Nations, and on receiving the Nobel Peace Prize by ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons), the Vatican International Symposium “Prospects for a World Free of Nuclear Weapons and for Integral Disarmament” was held in November 2017. Inhering this spirit, Sophia University as a Catholic institution seeks solidarity in Japan through academic dialogue with people of various religions and scholars on ‘Peace, Denuclearization and the Future of Our Society.'”
